GEN 1 Bumpy bump stops

Well I couldn’t find an answer so here i am.

Im going to be getting deavers probably just the +2 to go with the new oem shocks and geisers at mid. Ive trying to figure out what bump stops i need. Keep in mind ill be fairly low on remaining budget after the suspension refresh. So the fancy one that go across under the bed are a no go. Also no serious off roading, unfortunately theres a lack of areas here…

Ive found these but not sure if i need both or just one or the other.

Hmm not sure how the RPG's work without the corresponding strike plate since the factory lift block has it built in, I would call/email 'em and see if those hockey pucks come with just a flat strike plate like what they use with their bump setup (seems most likely). That's the cheapest option heh, not any others I've seen...

You do not use the RPG bump stop relocate pucks IF you’re using the forged off-road strike plates. The forged off-road strike plates are extended and make up for the added distance that you gain once installing deavers and are designed to work with the stock bump stop pads. You only use the RPG bump relocate pucks if you’re NOT using a strike plate, BUT you absolutely should. Not good to let them land on the rear axle. the RPG relocate pucks are just their own version/fix for the added distance once going deavers, and getting the stock bump pads back in the correct position. My self on the other hand like you am not needing the air bump stop kit at this point in time. So I ordered RPG relocate pucks , and their strike plates (since their strike plates do not extend upward, and so that the pads are not landing on the rear axle), and timbren bump stop pads because the stock ones are pathetic….

Gotcha. The timbren active kit? I couldn’t find just the pads when i was looking around for better ones then oe.

Yeah this is the part number that I got:

You just dont use the brackets that come with them. Stack them underneath RPG pucks when mounting them in place of the factory bump stops

If the Gen 2 kit fits a Gen Juan I'd give you the unknown kit I have. Switching out to the SVC kit. I'm keeping the Kings though. So you would still need cans (giggity) when you install.

Yeah I’m not sure if they do or not, a member is selling a gen2 rogue kit for a steal but I don’t think if they for the gen Juan frames or not. You have pics of it ?

How serious do you rip it off-road? I put icon leafs on the rear of my Gen 2 without a bump stop kit. I don’t rip it off-road so I haven’t had any issues, but if I max out the suspension I know I’d be *****.

I'm in the middle of doing the same thing. Picked up the Icon RXT leaf pack (for adjustability), King 3.0s OE, Evil bump kit with King 2.5 bumps. After talking with some hardcore guys (KeepItDirty, Filthy Motorsports, etc.), any 2.5x2.5 for our purpose will do just fine. To be clear, 2.5x4.0 is unnecessary. Having said all that, I would stick with Fox 2.5s if your running Fox.

SVC bumps - weakest among top tier but sufficient.
RPG bumps - can't go wrong
Evil - sufficient, I went with these bc I also have an Evil rear bumper.

Not bump stop related... So I installed the Icon RXT (at the standard setting) + King 3.0s.... put the backend down and drove it around in the parking lot over a few bumps to settle it. Its been sitting at 2"+ over stock when its supposed to settle at .75" over stock. Talked to Helio from KID and he said I need to take it off-road to break it in because both parts are offroad performance parts. If it doesn't go down further, might have to consider shackles... which kinda doesn't make sense based on what was expected.

Just got some potholes on the roads and a few dirt backroad. Not much here to really get into serious off roading
