Any thoughts on whether a closed in design like the FRL kit will block airflow to the inter cooler?

Is this a serious question? Do you see an intercooler or any ducting to direct airflow to the intercooler behind those openings on either edge of the bumper?

If you look at any of the aftermarket bumpers they all discuss the design of the bumpers as directing air to the intercooler. I will take your smart ass response as meaning that no it does not affect it. Next time try not being a ******.

Most aftermarket bumpers don't have the large grill in the center with the IC directly behind it and often times require relocation of the IC. Apples and Oranges.

In all fairness, it was a pretty stupid question. Next time try not being such a sensitive ******.
