I was reading the Sean Hyland Motorsports webpage on the GT500 motor and new tranny they put into the Raptor when I came across their mentioning they broke their left (rear) axle.
They were running a LOT of power (600HP) and they went to Grabber tires
Now it's putting out a claimed 750HP thanks to the upgraded the supercharger to Kenne Bell unit, at 15psi on 93 octane!!!
The reason this is here in the Maintenance Forum is because I heard about a stock Raptor that broke a rear axle out in Ocotillo Wells (it wasn't just Sean Hyland that broke one) and I thought I'd post this here and see if the owner wants to comment about any similarities (or differences besides the huge HP gap).

Left rear axle broke at the end of the splines on the last test day.
It was during this testing that we broke the left rear axle shaft, which frankly surprised us, as the HD rear axle in the Raptor has proven durable in other applications. We suspect the additional grip of the general tires, may have caused a flawed part to break, otherwise we will have to investigate some alloy axles for use of this truck.
