Yeah but where would the kayaks go?

:tizzle:

That's important stuff, 30% of the land mass around here is fresh water lakes, rivers and streams.
Lots of whooped out sand trails that lead in to remote, unnamed lakes. Fill the front storage area on the kayak with ice and beers, and go fishing !

Travel numbers are in, 23" of clean bumped and strapped travel.
11" of up travel from the same ride height that my Deaver +3's sat at, the spring rates Geoff provided were bang on (300/350).

Hell, I don't have a skill set, just a hammer, tape measure, sawzall, grinder, and a buddy that can weld !

On a side note, I'm learning to weld, on some of the non critical components on the truck. I recommend learning on someone else's truck before you attack your own, :ROFLJest:

Don't give @RLTW any more ideas!!!!! Lol

The shocks are in the way of where the gas tank filler neck used to run. The factory neck can be rerouted to keep the smog people happy. I'll probably replace it at some point with something shinier, since we don't have the smog nazis to deal with up here.
Just used a couple of weld on resevoir mounts, and will hose clamp it on there for final assembly. It's actually a pretty convenient location, but one would certainly want to get the locking gas cap from Ford to keep dust out.

Also used a couple sets of camburg tubing joints to reinforce the bed cage to frame connection, while maintaining the ability to remove the bed.

Looking good, you planning on a rear swaybar?
-Ryan

Hi Ryan,
I am told it's not needed. The air shocks on the axle act like a sway bar by resisting the torsional movement of the axle on only one side or the other. It's a noticeable effect when jacking up on one side or the other of the axle.
The effect can be adjusted via the nitrogen pressure in the axle air shocks.
We will see how it translates into real world handling.
