I purchased my brand new Ford Raptor Friday March 31st here in Houston, TX. It had 25 miles on the odometer. The next morning I wanted to appreciate the Fox shocks and new undercarriage only to be greeted by a TON of salt damage.

I have determined this due to the salt deposits you can clearly see on parts on the pictures. I have even tasted these deposits on my tongue and have confirmed it is salt. This is unacceptable, especially for a high end vehicle that sells (and I purchased)over MSRP.

I am seeking resolution to this situation. I have not even owned the car for a full week and have just now noticed this. I understand flash rust but this is CLEARLY not flash rust, specifically when realizing the heavy salt deposits. I noticed salt even on the turbochargers and the ABS Circuit Block.

Go do a good undercarriage wash and see how that works out for you. A lot of that is just surface rust and corrosion from sitting around. If its actually getting pitted then I would talk to Ford but start with the wash and see where it goes from there.

I say this is way excessive corrosion. It makes me wonder what the hell happened, like what was the build date, because it looks like it was driven off a dock.

The skid plate, starter, and front diff is definitely pitted. I mean can Ford just replace the vehicle for another carbon copy? Love my truck but this sucks.

Wow.. What happened to "Quality is job one?" Early build date? At the very least this should have been addressed during the PDI. A good wash, a little rattle can paint and a quick scrub with a Scotchbrite pad and some metal polish on the exhaust at a minimum. No way it should have been handed over to a customer like this. Are you addressing with the dealer or doing it yourself? Either way good luck!
