Brand new Agate 37” and paint is cracking and bubbling….

the passenger fenders has a sever blemish that looks like it will bubble soon and the driver fender right above the head light is severely cracking. The spot is the size of a dime and the cracking is about 8-9” long.

The images were sent to me by the shop doing my XPEL PPF. I took delivery from out of state and got kind ****** over. Both fenders need to be resprayed as it is far beyond brain able to be color sanded out.

Fortunately for you, it will be repainted within warranty and look just fine. Just a few extra days of your time to get it right.

Highly disappointing however as aftermarket paint never matches perfectly, even if color does, which it won’t, the orange peel texture is about impossible to duplicate.

However I am stealth PPFing it, so it won’t be able to be detected, but I have a funny feeling 6-8 years down the road when I want to pull off the PPF to sell it with flawless paint, the paint will peel off with it. I hope I am wrong.

This is my wife and daughters truck. We literally were going to get a Bronco Raptor, but decided the interior room of the truck is superior, along with the highway drivability.

You need to let the paint cure for a couple of months before slapping a sticker over it.

Cover it and forget it. You won't ever pull that wrap off--you will sell it as is and move on.

Likely correct. So long as the PPF holds up and doesn’t look shabby after a while.

My ‘23 had the same paint drip line over the front left of the hood.

I wet sanded / polished it and it’s good enough for me. I’m the only one that sees it .

Mine wasn’t a paint drip, the passenger fender was between the paint and clear. Had to
Be sanded and blended/resprayed. The drivers fender the paint was cracking, it had to be sanded down to the primer and also resprayed, blended, cleared and sanded.

It now is virtually flawless.

They have to let it cure a few days before applying the PPF, so it will be sometime next week I imagine before I get it back completed.
