just got off the phone with someone in the tech dept at turbosmart.

that is the new kit thats made to work with 2017 Raptors, she said just to make sure it has the new part #:
Part Number – TS-0215-1371
if ordering from places, as stock has been limited to only certain vendors thus far, and to make sure you are not buying the old kit: P# TS-0215-1367

I'm looking around now to see who has one in stock...

Do you know what the difference is between new and old?

not completely sure, might be something with the mounting bracket that comes with it, or even the piece of wiring you have to piggy back into the factory electronic BOV harness. Everything I've researched has led me to the conclusion to wait for this new one if you plan to use it on a factory raptor intercooler. If you mounting it say an upgraded ADD or Full Race IC with there hard pipes w/ mounting spots for TS or TIAL BOVs it probably doesn't matter as much.

the guy at CJ Pony Parts is expecting them in in the next week or two.
Hopefully he is right,lol

in the mean time just do the disconnect of the factory return air pipe and cap the nipple. Sounds good while i wait.

I just installed this kit on my 18 last weekend. seems to work fine and sound good. but at idle, it sounds like a sprinkler is going in the distance.. best way i can describe the noise. i've triple checked all connections--turned 'down' the valve (turned knob in quieter direction..) and still has the noise.
Everything seems to be working--no codes, got boost, and the release works. but that noise at idle... :banghead:

anyone have this installed and can help with some feedback before I try to explain this to Turbosmart ?

(I'm trying to figure out how to upload the video.. do i need to use a site to embed? or can't i just upload?)

apparently it's a 'normal' noise. called turbosmart and they've of course heard of this. it's a noise that's already present in the motor, yet, when you replace the hose from manifold to solenoid to with the one supplied, the noise becomes more audible... :wtf:

Yeah I saw someone post on one of the Facebook forums about this noise, best way to minimize it is to reinstall the factory hose and to get the Full Race ( I believe is the name) throttle
Body spacer that has a spot for
A nipple to run the hose for the BOV off of.

My SVC intercooler utilizes the oem bov and vents to atmosphere. They provided a cap for the return line. Gives you the audible sound you want without the cost.

yea.. or just return it and do the 89 cent version with the stock setup. thing is, already messed up that hose and getting a new one on might be an issue. Looked like it was either molded on or possibly heat shrunk on valve in back. really wish this noise was more publicized and disclosed by turbo smart. doesn't make sense to get one of these with literally no benefit other than feeling cool, to then have a frickn sprinkler noise come out of a 75K front end. i mean really.. WTF? 300 bucks for something with no cure for this? guess Im the idiot here. could've just taken off the return hose and had the same effect. thought this one tied into the system some how with hose attachments/replacement. don't think it does anything other than make it sound like i have a sprinkler under the hood.

Nice. Ok. well, I think Tsmart owes me a TB spacer! LOL. I shouldn't have to do this though. there should be some kind of work around or they shouldn't be selling this the way it is being sold. this is a really bad side effect for a mod. seriously, at this level? Am i the only one that can't stand this sprinkler effect from this?
