Well, taking all that experience into account you still couldn't figure out getting it wet would be a bad idea? Sorry, but that's just downright strange....

Let me go wash my phone. It should be fine right? It's only electronics.

If you have the time in your schedule, you can always order the parts and do your own retrofit.

Let me know on your current ones. I can't afford to buy new ones, depending in price they might be a good project for me.

Will let you know. Waiting on Raptor Retrofit to get some parts to me so I can get them at least operational. Right now the truck is not drivable at night and would like to do everything at once while it is at Mikes.

MICAP..

The parts are on the way Boss, Im really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

I would recommend going back to the OEM halogen lights, they are going to be the most reliable setup possible.

Thank you---need a couple of other parts I mentioned shoot me a PM and I will send you a check. Going to turn loose a couple of my engineers on this --- there is a cost effective way to fix this problem of that I am 100% confident.

I really do love these lights...

And just what exactly do you do sir.
And there is no trouble shooting involved. Replace the busted stuff, and here's the kicker, COVER IT when you wash it. Boom. Problem solved right there. How's that for trouble shooting.

I too rely on my truck in what some would call harsh conditions (winter) to get me to work. 3 hours driving a day. So if my vehicle isn't reliable I'll be stranded in -40 temps. So I don't think vehicle reliability is "over my head". But hey, what do I know.

6.2 this is what I explained to you via PM - this is you being a ****. Boss Hoss' thread WASN'T ABOUT YOU but now you've made it that way.

Well if telling it like it is without sugar on top is being a ****, then I suppose you are right. Good job detective.

It wasnt about me, and I didn't make it about me. It's about his lights that he got water on and somehow stopped working.

Which I simply pointed out. Don't put water in electronics. It will mess em up.

Why do "we" think he got water on them? I've read thru thread several times and see no mention of it.
I'm asking to try to understand weakness in a product I want.

From Dawson's for sale thread he posted it.

Left you a message--mine died. Did wash the engine off yesterday and drove it for a while but it way daylight.

No weakness as long as you cover all electrical components before washing the engine bay. Just like you are supposed to.

My little "snot nosed" buddy is 100% correct. Water and Electrical Components do not mix. If you were to cover every electrical connection in the engine bay then you would never be able to wash it.

That being said I have done this at least a thousand times in my life and this is the first time I have had a problem except in 1980 we got water in the rotor cap!! That sucked but it dried out...

The engine is really never allowed to get real dirty so it does not even get hit with a stream of water --- the same setting I use to water flowers is used to wash off the Simple Green. For comparison there has been more water come up into the bay when crossing creeks at the ranch...

My little "snot nosed" buddy is going to tell me how to do that now!!!
