I have a Borla S-type exhaust on my 18 SCREW, it's stupid loud (came from the dealer this way). Borla has a front muffler (Borla Performance Front Muffler Option (PN-60650)), does anyone have any experience with this part and how effective is it at sound attenuation?

Thanks.

thanks, I dont have the stock one, the dealer got rid of those parts long before i came along. but i think the Ford Performace exhaust set up is the S-type with a resonator so imma go that way.

You will want to find a stock system them. All the aftermarket systems yield an awful sound. That is why you see so many people going back stock. It has the least offensive sound.

A resonator almost always helps. I had a Nissan 4x4 with a 2400cc four cylinder engine. I put Doug Thorley headers on it and a Flowmaster muffler. It sounded like a Space Shuttle launch, and the muffler rang like a bell every time I hit the torque peak. Put an 18 inch Flowmaster resonator on it, and the difference was absolutely remarkable in terms of both sound volume and sound quality.

I have the atak on my 2019 and it was waaay to loud for me so I took off the xpipe and added the 60650 resonator and it's much quieter now.

So... I too chose the Borla ATAK... way too loud. I too added the resonator and got rid of the x-pipe... much better but still VERY DISSAPOINTED. Waste of money.

I bought my vehicle new, the dealer was trying to create an SCA like build, they added ADD bumpers, KMS wheels, Nitto Tires, a crap-ton of Rigid lights, and this ******* S-type exhaust, no performance mods.

I'm given to understand that the ATAK is actually louder than the S-type. Are you disappointed in the exhaust? or in the functionality of the resonator?
