GEN 2 Borla Exhaust opinions

I’ve got the ATAK. It’s by far my favorite mod. Assumed the S-type would just be a tamed down version. Sorry it doesn’t suit you. Stock I just wasn’t diggin....I love the way my exhaust sounds now.

When I did my 2018 Raptor a few months back, I had the opportunity to A/B a few different exhausts at the same time. The shop wanted to hear the difference and so did I. We A/B’d Borla, Flowmaster, Magnaflow and a few others. The deepest and heartiest sound, by a fair margin was the Magnaflow. The Borla was the raspiest by far. We did the final install with a resonator delete, just the cross flow Magnaflow muffler and straight pipes. I replaced the air filter with a K&N Raptor setup. Sounds great. Feels like it runs a hair quicker.

Did you use the magnaflow d fit muffler only?

I listened to alot of videos before purchasing an after market exhaust and never did like the sounds of the Borla or the Corsa. The magnaflow sounded a little better, but i finally settled on an AWE Tuing 0FG setup. Really like it. Not raspy or obnoxious like the aforementioned, just a nice and deep growl (as far as an ecoboost goes) and pleasant. A little drone at highway cruising, but overall quite happy with it.

Sounds pretty close. They do say that it needs to "break in" for a certain amount of time for the sound to "settle". I didnt seem to notice any difference around that point, but it must have been pretty gradual. I actually noticed that they had refurbished 0FG systems for approx 400 bucks less and took advantage of one of them. No issues.
One thing to note, the drivers side pipe where it comes near the spare tire should be wrapped in some exhaust heat wrap. When i pulled my spare off to powder coat the wheel, i noticed that it was touching the spare tire and had slightly melted it. Nothing too bad but enough to notice.

Wow, just wow. I didn't take you for the superhero type! Fishman goes big. Gives me a whole new perspective.
