I bought the Borla S-type(Stinger) exhaust from MarylandSpeed around a year or so ago for a very reasonable price. I kept the factory resonator in place and it has good rumble at startup, roars when pushed, quiet as a mouse at highway speed and never a complaint from the wife. The quality of the materials and workmanship is top notch. I did the install in my driveway with the Raptor sitting on all four tires, no cutting required.

I have the Corsa extreme that I put back to sport configuration with the stock resonator in place. With the resonator delete pipe it is deceptively loud meaning in the cab it won't seem that loud but stand outside and have someone drive by at half throttle and you'll know what I mean.

It sounds absolutely wicked like that but the cold start and coming and going at odd hours is too much for my neighborhood. It still sounds good with the resonator in place just tamer 90% of the time. At WOT I really don't think there is that much of a difference in the tone just not quite as loud. It's the part throttle, downshifting, etc where the extreme sounds better. In either configuration it will not drone in the cabin or bother any passengers.

You can do it w/o a lift with ramps or high enough jack.

Definitely get the black tips. They're more of a black chrome look vs a powder coated black if that makes sense. They won't chip. I hit them with a clay bar and some chemical guys V7 from time to time and they are perfect.

That makes sense, glad to hear that about the tips. I had the stainless looking ones on the Avalanche and they held up really well, just difficult to keep clean. I was leaning towards the black tips since I have a black truck.

Thanks!

Putting my resonator back in tomorrow. Perfect exhaust, but cold starts are loud as balls. With winter coming, I'm being nice to my neighbors (which are like 200 yards away and say they don't hear it now anyway).

I had the Corsa on my 2011 SCREW. Great exhaust system- I never felt like there was any drone driving around but it sounded great with a little throttle.

At cruising speed the Corsa sounds great without being raspy or loud.

A friend has the Borla and it definitely has a great exhaust note at cruising speed with a little more growl to it, but the trade off is a slight drone on the highway. Very minimal but noticable

Not to complicate your decision but I have the Roush exhaust now and prefer the sound over the Corsa. Just something to consider...
