You could try plasti dip. If you don't like it should come off easy ish.

It rubs the plasti-dip on its skin or else it gets the hose again!

Maybe flat black, I had an Explorer Sport that was black on black with the bottom of the doors and such being flat black, like a two tone paint scheme.

Good luck trying to find someone who can wrap PPF on Gen3 Flares. They may not look like it but they are a nightmare. Maybe the "Stealth" wrap was too thick on mine...

Can't say I'd rather have grey colored flares, even if it defines "the look".

I see black raptors with the stock gray flares on a regular basis and honestly- the stock flares look cheap. It looks like Ford stuck some bare plastic flares on the truck because they chose the exact same color as a bare plastic flare from Bushwhacker.
