So, I just dropped my spare and realized that the rim is black as opposed to the gunmetal color that's on the other 4. Also, there aren't any weights on the spare. Anyone else notice this?

Yep, I actually just rotated mine in and am driving on it now. Other than the stupid TPMS warning, life is good.

I did the same thing... I'm thinking about buying a TPMS for the spare. Anyone got a part number and estimated price?

Mine seems balanced enough, I was up to 70 yesterday and had no real issues. The other tire is badly chunked so its only real use in life now is a limited range spare. Other than not being balanced and no TPMS it's a regular BFG A/T so there shouldn't be any big problems there.

The spare doesn't come balanced, and no TPMS, other than that, I don't know any negatives.
It was discussed in the tire rotation thread, and I don't remember anything bad?

I don't think many guys are doing it.
What have you heard?

A guy at a tire shop told me a while ago. He probably just wanted me to wear my tires more quickly so he could try to sell me a new set.
