I wanted to let everyone know my OPINIONS on Sick HIDs.

I purchased a set of custom Sick HIDs in December of 2011. I received them in May of 2012. Unfortunately, Brian (Sick HIDs CEO and ONLY employee) is a victim of his own success. He has way to many orders than he can handle in a timely manor.

I purchased a set with an outer CCFL Ring and a 5000k projector bulb.

I received them in May 2012. Since then, the have been inoperative 4 different times. The outer CCFL ring starts to flicker when it rains outside. I have to pull the headlight out and disconnect the outer CCFL wiring and let it dry out. I've noticed that the connection gets hot and doesn't work.

This situation has happened three different occasions.

I finally got Brian to send me a new inverter that controls the CCFLs.

Along with the inverter he had to send me a new 5000k bulb for the driver's side because it went bad and started shining pink of all things.

I've had to install my factory lights and wait two weeks for for new bulbs. I had to not only pay $10 to ship him the damaged parts but I had to pay him an additional $10 for him to return the new parts to me. I asked him to waive that fee because of the frequency of the issues. (View my Profile for pictures)

I paid the $10 more because I wanted my headlights back. I finally received the new parts and it was the WRONG bulb! He send me a 4300k bulb instead of my 5000k bulb. In didn't notice (of course) until I installed them.

Once I installed them, the other bulb burnt out. I contacted Brian at Sick HIDs and asked him to send me two new bulbs (one for the mistake an two for the other bad bulb) and he refused. He told me that I had to pay for shipping AGAIN and he would not do anything until I paid to have them sent back.

I paid about $1,000 for this set of headlights and unfortunately his customer service is a 0 out of 10. He does not care about his customer if something goes wrong (even multiple times) unless he gets paid AGAIN.

I RECOMMEND that if you are in the market for HID headlights, you contact DUCATI (look over to the right of this screen and locate RAPTOR RETROFIT to find him) and he will take exceptional care of you and provide you with nothing but exceptional service.

I have yet to purchase lights from him but have followed his posts and seen what others have stated about him. I have no doubt that he will be able to provide me with an exceptional set of lights.

I will NOT spend another dime with Brian at SICK HIDs. I must eat that $1,000 and chalk it up to a learning experience. I can only hope that whoever reads this learns from my information and just orders from DUCATI to begin with.

Ducati will absolutely LOVE this post and that's ok. I don't mind.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE YOUR LIGHTS FROM SICK HIDS. IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEM, YOU MAY RUN INTO SOME MAJOR ISSUES.

***PLEASE POST YOUR OPINIONS REGARDING DUCATI AND HIS CUSTOMER SERVICE. INTEGRITY, AND WORKMANSHIP SO OTHERS CAN SEE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.***

If you're looking at throwing them in the trash, let me know, I'd take them.

That dude's customer service sounds absolutely horrible. No excuse for that.

Thank you guys, I appreciate the compliments.

I feel for that guy Brian, I know what its like. His problem is trying to do all vehicles and motorcycles. I get asked several times a week to do other vehicles, which I could easily do but would be in the same shoes as him. I feel bad even telling guys it will be a few weeks. Being specialized in only 2009+ F150 allows me to keep my build times down to a week or more.

Most you guys dont know but Ive been working 40+ hours a week construction all summer and doing the retros at night and on weekends, lol. Not to mention we have a 7 month old son. My wife is the one who deserves all the credit for allowing me so much time to work. Construction will end soon and I will be back on schedule for turning out builds in a week or so.

As far as warranties Im lucky to be linked up with TRS, they completely redesigned their wire harness for me and are constantly developing their products to be on top of the game. Not that it happens much anymore with these new products, they are pretty much oem quality, but if something were to fail I overnight you a new part first and dont require that it is sent back, no charge. My overall retro price may be a little higher then the other guys but in this bis you get what you pay for.

Dont beat up on Brian to hard, Im sure he busts his ass to make a livin but... doing retrofit's is only half the game. If you dont take care of your customers during and after the purchase thats just bad business.
