Funny this thread just came up... I posted some time ago about the "volume" of the SW headers/lightning combo. It's just too much.

After taking a few sledding trips this winter with my buddies, it was time to do something. Driving 2+ hours each way while the drone went on and on was unbearable.

Talked to SW and they recommended 2 chambered mufflers and some piping to make up the difference. They don't have a "kit" for this yet, but this was the best they could do. So I ordered it. It's kind of funny because when I talked to them they didn't seem to have much of an interest in pursuing a "fix" for this system. And now I read they told others they were working on a solution. Whatever.

It showed up Monday. I haven't installed it because on Saturday I traded my beloved Raptor off for a 2014 Platinum F350. I have major seller's remorse, but the F350 fits my needs much better for now.

I haven't even taken the mufflers out of the box. SW wants a 20% restocking fee and they won't refund me on the "custom" pieces to make the mufflers fit. I don't have 50 posts to put these in the classifieds.... so, here they sit.

PM me if anyone wants to talk offline.

Did you pull your headers off when you sold your truck?

Hell no.

EDIT: The salesmen at the dealership were doing cartwheels when they heard it start/run. I just had a sheepish grin on my face as I signed the paperwork for the new one. It's their problem now.

I do miss the plush ride, the tight turning radius, the HID lights, and the room in the back seats... why there is less room in a super duty is beyond me.

I pretty much saved my stock headers and exhaust so that I can put it in the bed and provide it with the truck should I ever sell it. But definitely not worth the effort to pull them unless you are removing a ton of other things as these headers are a tight fit.
