Place a circuit breaker on the feed cable to the marine fuse block.. I prefer a circuit breaker there so if it trips with the shorting of a fused circuit I am not fumbling to find the fuse for it...

That's an interesting idea. I have a large amp fuse I used. Bought a spare fuse for $3.
Do you have an example of a breaker? Are they water proof?

Captian I can tell you that those work well and that it made my wiring look way cleaner. I would recommend west marine or a marine wholesaler to get them. Thanks for the wiring.

Baja thank you gonna take a look tonight and then find what size.

Here is the fuse panel I'm gonna be running. I'm doing like the thread mas factory upper fitter switches. The positive is on the bottom and the negative is on the top with the 12 screws. I think it should work well and I plan on running relays. Should work well. Thanks to everyone for the great advice.

depending on what you plan on running, you shouldnt need relays. if your power going in is big enough, you can connect whatever you want there. a standard automotive relay is 30 amps. some are 40amps. but the atc fuses are safe to 30 amps with the right wire. (i have seen 40 amp fuse melt on numerous occasions, so i prefer to stick with a 30.) if you are drawing more than 30 amps, then you should use a different kind of fuse. but i dont think relays will be necessary unles you got some wild plan for your stuff.

thanks Busa. i am going to be running 5 sets of baja designs lights, 3 rigid reverse lights, compressor switch, switch for my train horn. I will be running max fuse of 30 amp. I might run relays for the lights just to be on the safe side:)

Busa quick question: should i run 0 or 1 gauge wire to behind the rear seats to a distribution block, then run 1 or 2 gauge to this fuse panel? I will be running 2 amps for speakers and subs in the future. thanks
