I've only driven SCrews, but you'll probably like your SCab, alot, with the factory setup.

Only input I'd have regarding the middle perch adjustment of the front suspension: it probably increases stress on the half-shafts and CV joints, somewhat.

Bending the frame is something that could happen in daily driving use. Both styles of Raptor have payload rating greatly reduced from the other F150s. The reduced ratings stem from the pliable leaf-springs and the awful shelves on the lift blocks. Raptors only have a couple inches of rear suspension uptravel.

SCabs are rated around 930 lbs maximum payload; SCrew only 1,030 lbs or so. Try to keep the weight down and your Raptor should be fine. Maybe watch the threads and see what's working for other owners over the next year or two?

I believe you meant could not happen in daily driving use. I never noticed it not being level so don't understand the mid perch I went ahead and ordered the exhaust and other mods but wanted the sound as far as the other mods I probably didn't need them but all well for me the truck has all kinds of crazy power. So what I'm saying is get the truck let it break in then decide if you want to spend the money have fun.

Agreed. Don't need to improve something that you already like. Own it for a few weeks and then decide what to do

Where did you get your information about the up travel? Have you ever seen how far you can stuff the tires in to the rear wheel wells?

No, sir. The rear suspension makes Raptors unsuitable for use as a pick'em-up.

I looked underneath my Raptor. There's, at most, four inches of up travel before the lift-block shelves contact the rubber baby buggy bumpers.

If the contact is very heavy, the leaf springs will try to disassemble the modular frame.

Let's remember the payload capacity of the Raptor isn't the same as an F150. If someone put 4000lbs in an F150 and bent the frame going over a " speed bump" would you say that is the frame or the driver? When I overload a vehicle I sure don't drive it like it was unloaded. I go SLOOOOW over bumps and try not to have the rear end bouncing up and down off the bumpstops. Do the same in the Raptor and you will be fine with stock suspension. If I only tweaked it a fraction of an inch doing what I do you should be fine driving it as a garage queen.

Hey guys hopefully this will clear a few things up. I've spent over 1,000 miles in the desert with my SCREW and a few buddy's SCABs testing my re-valved shocks!

The Raptor was designed to run at the middle perch. They had to lower it to meet bumper height regulations. The second perch levels out the truck and I love the ride. I have also been in a Raptor on the top perch and it rode amazing well on the road. The truck has never seen the dirt yet so I can't give you an honest evaluation of the top perch off road. (You all know who's truck I'm referring too) ha ha

The shocks have more than 5 inches of Bump Travel (Up Travel) and the remainder of the 12 inches is droop. Yes, it will squish the Jounce Bumper or LOVE IT! "Rubber Buggy Bumper" almost all the way! I am revalving my shocks and I do suggest a Bump Stop if you plan on heavy off roading. But as far as normal driving and light off roading which the truck was designed for - you'll be just fine with the stock springs and jounce bumper. The guys that I've talked to that have bent their frames were going high speed of road and hit a ditch that pitched the rear end way up in the air! Remember this... If your hurting yourself or your passenger wants out after a ride down a rough road - you're probably hurting the truck in some way!

Yeah, i was looking at all the different routes people go for suspension. I was just seeing which route is best for daily driven, garage queens. I just want it level & if any handling improvements can be had for a decent price I'll consider them.

For the suspension---mine is on the top perch and the HD National springs are on the truck going to Mikes Off Road!!

Wheels and tires may be next but depends on how deep ypur pockets are (I have Fuel Octanes with 35x18 MTR's). For me I am up to about 12k in mods.
