Best sounding CAI

The more open style intakes will give you the most volume, however, the open intake is more exposed to water and debris.

The AFE Magnum Force will be the loudest intake on the market with a good chunk of turbo whistle.

Just a reminder, some CAIs require a tune to not have a CEL. Whipple and COBB both require a tune.

Nice I’m thinking I may as well.

Did the install last night, No instructions came with it but easy enough to figure out, Take your time. The ram air tube that comes off the stock box can be a little hard to get in. Took me 1 hour to install., Drove the truck last night 60 mile round trip to pick up Grandsons, No codes thrown, no issues, I did drive the truck hard all the way there, with some aggressive starts.. Does sound better, truck does seems to pull a little different.. all in all on the first trip with it on I like it...

If you don't take the truck off-road, oiled will work. It's got a higher flow rate than dry. But dust/dirt will stick to oiled filters and gunk them up. Most of our clients run dry for this reason.

Do the boost tubes add to the sound at all? Would I need a tune for that setup? Anything else recommended without getting a tune? I see there’s a BBK throttle body, turbo exhaust adapters, etc. I’m looking to get the most out of the truck without getting tuned & returnable to stock (maintain warranty).

That would be the loudest intake setup for sure. Yes, AMS boost tubes increase sound. No tune required. SPD Turbo Adapters have shown an increase in power. Catted downpipes, more for sound, but they do help somewhat. But mostly, the gains are from the adapters. That should have you pretty much covered as far as bolt-ons.
