For lack of better places to take the truck offroad here in Miami, I often run around the service roads out on the farmland just south of the city. It's pretty common practice, I always see tons of ATVs and UTVs while i'm out there, and I've never had a problem.
Well, I come around a corner and see a white Chevy 1500 decked out work truck turn in and block the road. I consider booking it but then decide to continue on and see what he has to say.
The guy's already out of his truck by the time I pull up, so I roll down the window, ready to give my apology. But to my surprise he's smiling ear to ear, says I watched you fly over those rollers from the road and had to come check this thing out. He starts walking laps around the truck inspecting and asking about every little detail. We talk about the truck for a few moments and he says that he's always had a Chevy but loves these trucks. I ask him if he'd like a ride and he hops in - after requesting that I don't wreck us (he's in his 60's and I'm 23).
Took him on a 2 minute hot lap around one of the fields that ended with a perfect jump over a railroad crossing. By the time I get him back to his truck hes laughing like a little kid. Tells me, "Come back here in a week and I promise I'll be in one of these too!"
Oh yeah, and he was the property owner after all.
