Security guard at Bass Pro Shops follows me on the parking lot. It was a nice old man, he gets out of his little pick up truck and starts asking me about the wheels, he looked at the grill, fenders, the guy was fascinated with the truck, he tells me he has never seen a truck like that before. He thought it was all aftermarket. He asks, "does it have navigation? " I reply yes. With his eyes wide open, he says "WOW" and keeps walking around the truck.

He pat me in the back multiple times, tells me "you have done well, it is an amazing truck", and snakes my hand.

What a nice old man, If I was a millionaire I would buy him a raptor.

Good guy.

For me the latest one was when a group of college guys driving in a decent beamer take a turn at a stop light pulling past me real slow-like (<10 mph) and the driver said, "Now THAT'S a truck." with all of them giving me a smile or a thumbs-up.

My wife and I were driving close to the beach this weekend and a guy crossing the street in front of us gave us the thumbs up and said "Bad Ass, Bad Ass, Bad Ass, that truck is Bad Ass". My wife rolled her eyes back in her head and my head grew. She said "That's the last thing you needed to hear."
I'm pretty certain he was drunk, but it doesn't change anything. He was right!

My front bumper, back bumper, and fender flares are all linex'd. I get people flagging me down on the road all the time asking, "Is that spray on bed liner...looks badass".

The best compliments are the ones I never really get. When those who appear to be loyal to an off-brand sees this this bad ass truck out of the corner of their eye and turn to look only to jerk their head back upon realizing what it waswhile mentally flogging themselves. Then there's the longing look, the dropped jaws and the rubber-necking while passing others going the opposite direction.

I've had a couple people who were unfamiliar with the Raptor ask me "did you make it like that?", an older gentleman walk past the front of my truck at a drive-through and pause with a huge smile to give an enthusiast ic thumbs up, and a gentleman driving a 2500HD ask to look inside my truck. He said, of course, "I'm normally a Chevy guy but I pass one of the every morning on my way to work and it turns my head every time. I just need to see what it looks like inside"

Tundra pulls up and motions to roll my window down.

Starts yelling "that's sick but I'm getting 13! (meaning liters per 100 km) then yells what are you getting out of yours?! With a big smirk of course.

I pause thinking now way your tundra is getting that mileage, then yell back "LAID!!!". Green light and slowly pull away lol. Priceless

That's like the feeling of seeing the little kids hit their dad, to get their attention, and point at the Raptor with that big smile of excitement.

I think the best compliment I've got on my Raptor was non-verbal. The other day while going to Lowe's, a kid was driving out of the Best Buy parking lot in his 96ish Mustang. He was turning and talking on his cellphone. He took the one hand he had on the steering wheel and stuck it out his window to give me a thumbs up! I thought it was hilarious but was impressed that he was able to continue turning without any issues.
