Best options for clearcoat repair

Hey guys. Looking at a 2012 SCREW Raptor to replace my 2010 SCAB. It’s a great deal and I’d like to buy it but it has damaged clear coat and some damaged base layer as well from peeling off a wrap. Has anyone else experienced this and/or know about how much it would cost me to have fresh clear blended with the damaged panels? (Front bumper has a spot, bedside, tailgate, etc.)

It’s probably be best to get ahold of a local reputable shop and ask. looks doable but fairly laborious. My guess is they’ll likely advise a total respray. That’s what I would do.

I texted a friend with a local shop for a quote but just haven’t heard back. Was hoping to do it myself when the guy said the clearcoat was damaged but after seeing it I doubt it.

The owner agreed to take 3k of the price due to the clearcoat damage so hopefully that helps out

3k won't cover much of a total respray unless you're calling Earl Scheib...

But 3k off is better than nothing.

It’s not a total respray that it needs; just clearcoat done in a few places like the tailgate and bedside mostly

I’m halfway tempted to sand and re clearcoat the tailgate and bed myself since the truck is a great deal.

Yeah…I didn’t hate it but wasn’t anything I would have chosen I absolutely love the blue on the truck but the clear is all that’s keeping me from buying

Why not just wrap the whole thing whatever color you like...Matte Black maybe?
