So , my winter drive to work is a short drive , betting the oil won't get up to op temp before I shut her down. Do you think a catch can is a good idea since it's a short commute back and forth?

It's not only the drive to work, its the driving in general, If you like to be heavey on the pedal at times, it does it's job and well, I dump 2oz of oil every 1500-2000 miles, all on how I beat on it, the more I beat, the faster I dump. well worth the 100-140, keeps throtle body cleaner, cleaner injectors, all long term protection, my 2 cents.

Moroso universal, first install before CAI,using plastic tubing, heated and molded to shape, then I went with the Russell's fittings and twist-loc hose while I was doing my PS upgrade.

I use one I bought off one of the LS boards. It catches a couple of ounces every few thousand miles. Can anyone recommend any good non-collapsing suction hose? The one I'm using tends to collapse a bit after running for a while.

There are some nice braided hoses out there ($$) but an easy/cheap solution is to use 1/2" rubber fuel line.
