I plan on Super Charging mine but I'm gonna put Forged internals 1st in itNO Forced Induction..?? WTH..I love when my Induction to be Forced...makes me Grin from ear to ear when the Whipple forces me to burn that sweet 92otc..
Why synthetic oil?Maintenance.
5k oil changes with synthetic oil. Spark plugs on the regular. Fluids. Bushings. Close to stock as possible. No forced induction. Etc...
On a Gen 1 that wasn't made for forced induction, you are playing with fire.
Depends how how heavy your right foot is.Not to mention the added stress on the transmission, diffs, axles, hubs, U joints, driveshafts, tires, and brakes.
Well of course, but if you have a light right foot why bother with forced induction in the first place. I totally agree, but the OP asking about "running forever" leads me to think a good 100K trouble free miles isn't good enough.Depends how how heavy your right foot is.
Nice looking truck..Yo! Curious what the group thinks are the best aftermarket addons to keep truck running smooth forever?
Purchased a 2013 with 51K miles last year and now have 56K miles. I have done a lot of visual upgrades over this last year but want to focus more on the longevity/engine side now. This truck will be my forever truck so just curious what I need to buy / do (outside of standard mileage maintenance)

Why synthetic oil?
Ok, but that's debateable. It does show oil leaks sooner, though becaue every molecule is the same size..Cleans and lubricates better than conventional oil.
