We use the Whipple units on all in house installs along with our upgrade kits and love them.
Some have had a few head scratching moments when installing them (fans go up before the intercooler separately,) but other than that, we have had very good luck with the Whipple intercoolers.

Does the whipple require any modifications to the louvers or the shroud?

no mod to the louvers

you unsnap a little 2" plastic extension off the shroud that can be snapped back on if you go back to stock. No cutting or permanent changes to anything. Whipple retains the fans as well.

you need to cut the factory upper support plate/bracket, also says the fans are not reused in the Raptor so looks like those are removed as well?

Not sure I like the idea of cutting that support mount, although I'm sure its a cheap part to replace if needed in order to go back to OEM

My mistake - didn't realize this was in response to the Whipple IC.....the AMS unit is what I was referring to

I've been following this thread closely and came across the following intercooler in my research: https://cp-e.com/shop/product/cp-e-∆core-ford-f-150-raptor-fmic-front-mount-intercooler/

Any feedback on this product/company?

I must say that is a nice looking intercooler but I could not find any real technical information about it. It’s hard for me to understand why a company would spend so much time and energy designing and manufacturing an IC like this and provide no technical information to show the quantitative benefits of their product.

Or that they develop an IC and say there is no cutting BUT in reality there is plenty of cutting involved
