You should get their whole package, The Cobb IC is one nicely done part but is heavy. Their whole package is very well put together. IC, CAI, Turner.

Do you know if the Cobb IC is installed without any alterations or stock modifications.?

Also do the factory shutters still work?

The Cobb is a front mount. You will have to cut the shutters on the grill.

Damn, thanks. Not something I'd like to do.
May have to pick another manufacturer although the Cobb appears to be a great choice.

I just purchased the Wagner competition intercooler from MPTperformance. I did not want a front mount that would obstruct the airflow for the ac condenser and radiator.

MPT offers a 10% discount and free shipping on the item upon checkout. It came out cheaper than if I were to order from Wagner directly!

I will install next week and post side by side pictures. Based on what I’ve seen already, Wagner’s size over stock is very impressive, they seemed to squeezed every inch of space available.

Just looked at the install instructions. Looks like no modifications necessary for install. Very interested.

Nice but it doesn't have a drain. I think the Mishimoto has a drain and the AFE BladeRunner GT Series Intercooler that has a plug on one side and a vent breather on the other side.

I don't know how necessary this would be for me as I have a complete Catch Can system installed from UPR which means I won't have any misfire issues due to oil build up in my IC.

I also know that condensation in the intercooler can cause a misfire but still not sure how prevalent this issue is as I'm still researching as time allows and there are a lot of manufacturers.

Does anybody know for sure whether or not condensation build up is an major issue in our trucks?

Definitely post some pictures. That thing looks like a beast and without having to front mount it.

I am running the Wagner and am very happy with it. I haven not seen any stock location intercoolers that look larger. I believe the area may be larger then some of the front mount intercoolers. The install is not bad but the instructions could be better. I did trim the center lower portion of shutters, as when it moved it would touch the upper portion of the intercooler.
It is a little more work to install than a standard direct replacement intercooler because part of the intercooler extends upward into the grill area making it larger as well.
