I've had EBC fronts only for the past 2 years and just now they started to squeal a bit.
I've probably put on 40k+ miles on them and they've work great.
Just this past week I finally did a complete brake job both fronts and back because my rear brakes were super bad and the fronts were getting close so I bought everything new again.
This thing stop on a dime now and would recommend to anyone.
Now the main thing to remember after installing new brakes and rotors is the break in process, I can't stress that enough that they need to be broken in correctly or you will have problems.

I agree 100% with this^^^ No matter what parts you buy, properly bedding the pads to the rotors upon installation is vital. One thing I will add is that the front pads for the Raptor will have inner pads and outer pads. The inner pads have "humps" on the backing plate that correspond to the caliper pistons and the outer pads do not. I have had at least ten shops in the past year (including 7 different Ford Dealerships) that installed those pads wrong. I have also had customers who installed them wrong and did not realize it until it was too late and the pads wound up binding in the caliper brackets and scoring the rotors so that the rotor and pads had to be replaced.

I got my R1 rotors and pads from Freedom Motorsports and love them. Also got the SDHQ brake line kit from them. Good company to work with. We placed orders on Easter Sunday and had them later that week. My only beef was with the SDHQ brake lines, made my Crown Performance. If you order them directly from Crown you can choose the length over stock and outer color. With SDHQ I might be wrong but I don't think that was an option. I reordered from Crown Performance knowing about these options and they sent me a big tittied wall calendar too! Haven't driven the EBCs but they look good too.

Could somebody please elaborate on how to properly break in a new set of brakes for those of us looking to upgrade the brake system soon. Much appreciated

It would be nice to see a couple more pro R1 statements from members without an agenda. Just sayin'.

Had the R1s, worked ok - but going to yellow EBC now. Been running EBC on other cars/trucks before but never on my Raptor.I prefer to go with a race / high heat compound hence the EBC yellows. I am in the Las Vegas heat and run my truck very hard - the R1 pads I had were more for daily driving - good all around brake pad, but will fade rather soon with my driving style.

EBC yellows are terrible when cold - and not good as a daily driver.

That's interesting^^^, I have never had R1 pads fade at all, even in extreme situations. That being said, the R1 Red stuff would be better for a full on Race style application. The Yellow stuff pads are a good option, but they are moderate to heavy conditions whereas the red stuff pads are for more extreme conditions like offroad racing, etc.

For the break in/bedding in procedures, the screenshot that @ryanjoyce007 shared above is the proper procedure for getting the brake pads bedded in with the rotors to ensure the best results upon installation. I do want to add though that once that bedding in procedure is done, there is no need for a lengthy break in period of light driving with the Posi Quiet pads. They are "pre-scorched" to eliminate the need for a lengthy break in period. The bedding in procedure is VITAL though to make sure they are properly seated so to speak.

I have the R1 rotors and pads installed and up until yesterday, I haven't had any issues or complaints. But I was going down a super long, super steep gravel road that was full of switch backs and by the end of the road I literally could not stop my truck with the pedal pressed all the way to the floor. I obviously know how to use gearing and drive down hill but on this particular road, using the brakes was unavoidable unless i wanted to crawl down.
