Anyway, I'm sold, I love that Avalanche Gray. I still want to see Lightning Blue in person before I make my final decision.

I know the feeling, I ordered lightning blue but it seems like both the blue and the avalanche look different in every picture depending on the lighting.

Totally agree on the Lightning Blue. It looks way lighter in person than any picture. It looked more like Deep Impact Blue in Pics. Then I saw it on n Escape (also seemed less special once I saw how many vehicles you can get it on). I so wanted it to look like the pictures I've seen.

there aren't too many pics or videos out there where the truck is actually outside. It's damn near impossible to tell what something will look like based on pics from indoors under fluorescent lighting. It seems like avalanche is even tougher, it looks different in every pic. op's pics are some of the first i've seen where there wasn't a debate about whether it was avalanche or white

I don't think the Raptor in the first video you linked is Lightning Blue. I believe that one is Liquid Blue, which was designated as Ford Performance's signature color for show casing their vehicles and it will not be available to the public.

I recorded the second video you linked. The biggest thing I can tell from Lightning Blue compared to Blue Flame, is that Lightning Blue seems a little more saturated. It looks "bluer" lol. It's gorgeous when the sun hits it.

You can see Lightning Blue on many New Fords like the Fusion or Escape. I would recommend checking it out in person. It does not look like the videos.

Avalanche is tougher to describe and really the only way to see it is on a GT350.

I agree. There was a Race Red Raptor at the Houston Auto Show back in January. I have seen videos on YouTube of the Race Red at a dealership as well. I was hoping that would be an option for the 2017s.

yeah i think i'd take race red over ruby red on a raptor. too bad there aren't a few more color options. i was hoping ford would offer something like molten orange or some other color that you don't see every day
