Can the bedside racks run in conjunction with the bed extender?

I think the answer depends - I have the Ford OEM plastic one that separates into 2 pieces. I removed it but it should still be useable as an extender. As a bed divider though? Not so much if you have things attached to the racks. If the racks have nothing attached to them, it should be fine.

built right sells rotopax bases that are spaced properly for their racks.

Is that two rotopax gas tanks stacked? Is that a standard rotopax mount? I wanted to go the rotopax route, but I want at least 5 gallons of gas and thought 3 wouldn’t cut it.

My racks are coming in tomorrow. I’m pumped. I’m a little worried that my 60” hi-lift is going to be too heavy for it though.

yes. just make sure to buy the extension that is specifically for 3 gallon cans. The "normal" extensions are about 1" too short.

Do yourself a favor a buy the rotopax base from built right. The bolt spacing on the rotopax bases is just a tad off.

Did you look at using a 5 gal Jerry and smittybuilt mount? Dimension wise, it looks like it’ll fit and it’s a less expensive solution.

Just wondering if you looked at that option and ran into an issue or personal preference was Rotopax.
