from what ive read it needs a smooth surface to adhere the velcro to so i dont think it would. That probably why i see quite a few people running linex'd beds with the bedmat essentially doing the best of both worlds.

mINE HAS GOT PRETTY WET, BUT ONE DAY OF SUN AND IT'S GOOD TO GO. THERE IS A PLASTIC LINER, BUT THE ZIPPERS WILL LEAK.

The water does not go through the BedRug so underneath stays dry.
You can power wash it and it will dry in a couple of hours.
I love mine.
