Big props to Morrie @ Bak Factory Outlet for hooking me up way back in November when I bought these mods anxiously awaiting for my truck! lol

The latch system is pretty sweet. Simple yet effective.

Good amount of space under the cover without the need for bracing or tubes or anything for support

I've had bedrugs for close to a decade on my HD trucks. Long time fan of those. Durable as heck, even spilled oil in the rug, let it sit for weeks not wanting to deal with it, then degreaser and a little elbow grease and they clean back up spotless.

The bakbox design is very trick, quick folding to allow max bed space, yet still removes in a matter of seconds completely if you need every last inch.

The bakflip design is very nice as well. Hopefully it holds up as well as it looks!

Interested to see if your bakbox stays in the rails or not. I had problems and sold mine on craigslist. Granted, I was going offroad a lot and had the box filled with tools and heavy shit.

cant wait to get home and install mine also. same setup bakflip, bakbox and bedrug

You're gonna love it!!! Especially after a day or two. The seals on the bakflip took a little bit to settle out, mostly just because it's cold here right now, and it was folded up in the box for months. Every time I shut it I'd have to run my finger down to pop the seal up. But after being on for a day, it's perfect. Really digging the versatility of it.

great looking setup!!!

Thanks Randy! Sorry I didn't get to the survey yet, been a hectic weekend, I WILL get to it though, I promise!

Reptar, how long did it take to install all of it and any tips or tricks you can share with me before I tackle it myself?

Bedrug took about an hour, bakflip took about 15 minutes.

Bedrug.....line up your velcro where you want it. THe directions say use the huge pieces on the bottom. I prefer to use the little pieces on the bottom, and the 2 big pieces together across the top edge of the front wall. Since the front wall doesn't tuck under a bedrail, I like the continuous bead of velcro across the top. Same for the rear bedsides where it's at the tailgate. I use the long thin strip, cut it for each side, so the rear sides by the tailgate is one continuous stream of velcro. Helps seal dirt and all out.

For the tiedowns, remove them, reinstall the bolts half way, install the bedrug, then feel for the bolt heads, cut an X over the heads and pop the bedrug over the bolt heads. Remove 1 bolt at a time and install the tiedown, remove the other bolt, rotate the tiedown into position, and reinstall that 2nd bolt.

Oh and I set the bedrug in place (zippered together), then pull up one side and velcro the bottom, then the other side and velcro that bottom. Then I do all 4 tiedowns. Then I did each bedside velcro. Then last I did the front bed wall velcro, but only AFTER I drilled the holes for the bakflip drains.

Little tip for the bakflip, if you don't have a 3/4" hole saw, and only have a unibit, remove the plastic plugs, or the unibit will hit the cab before it gets to 3/4" diameter. They just snap in from the backside. My buddy was there so he jumped underneath and released the clips and they popped right into the bed. I drilled the 3/4" holes, then installed the clear tubes, then velcroed the front wall of the bedrug. Then installed the bakflip rails.

Oh and a tip for the bakflip, guys were saying the clamps rotate easily when you tighten them. Thats only if you install the clamps incorrectly :Grenade: If you push the clamp ALL the way onto the bedrail lip, the grooves in the clamp don't line up with the grooves in the bakflip rail. If you slide it down less than 1/8", the grooves on the clamp line up with the grooves on the bakflip, and you can torque the heck out of it and it won't rotate whatsoever.

Interested to see if your bakbox stays in the rails or not. I had problems and sold mine on craigslist. Granted, I was going offroad a lot and had the box filled with tools and heavy shit.

I could see how it may fall in. If you set the width so the bakbox drops in fully from the top, it could pretty easily fall in. BUT, if you set the width just a hair wider than the bed, you have to install the bakbox from under the rails and with the box collapsed, you can hook the one side on the rail, then the other side has just enough flex to be pulled in, to slip over the rail, then it's actually clamping outwards on the rails, rather than just sitting loosely between the rails.

I only loaded mine with lightweight stuff. A carrhart jacket, a hoodie, a rain jacket, hard hat, ear protection, and a plastic toolbox with tiedown straps and bungee cords. I wouldn't go tossing heavy *** tool sets or floor jacks in there.

I really don't see a problem with mine falling in with how I sized it up, but if it ever did, it'd be a quick fix with drilling 2 little holes on each corner to tie the brackets to the tonneau rails. I could even do a quick release style pin for faster removal.

I just ordered up the same set up today from Morrie, less the box. He is delivering it to me personally on Thursday. Great guy to work with! Thanks for the tips Reptar, they will come in handy this weekend.
