One thing I love about custom license plates… when you’re checking in to a hotel and they want your plate #, or filling out paperwork at AAA..

Oh crap I need my license plate #.
I still always assume I don’t know it, the it hits me. Oh yeah it’s _ _ _ etc.

Love it!

Saw a truck with a “I’d rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy” bumper sticker and plates with “FABAT” on them at a parts store. After buying my parts I walked out next to a guy that walked up to the truck. I asked him what the plates meant. He looked at me like I was stupid and said “Fords Are Bad Ass Trucks!” There’s thought process for you.

I definitely never want to have someone come up to me asking my what my license plate means. When I see a personalized plate with random characters or obvious acronyms I just think in my head that they must love their inside joke to themselves every day of their life.

I won't forget my plate #. I've been rocking the same plate since 1997. (Several F150's between the 1997 and the 2017 not pictured.)
A couple benefits of swapping my old plates over to my new vehicles: Saves me $35 for new plates and I can register my new ride right at the town office without having to go to the DMV. If I get new plates that would require a trip to the DMV and waiting in line forever.
