My mx4 doesn’t leak. Granted, I’m in Arizona and have not seen extreme rain yet, but I have pressure washed the cover while washing and the bed was completely dry. Even if a few drops of water leaked in, not sure that would be the end of the world with what gets hauled in a pick-up truck bed....

I like the light weight, low profile, ease of access, and looks of the mx4 over a more secure heavy duty over the bed cover such as the diamondback.

Give LUKE at TruckAlterations.com a call..he has saved me
$hundreds" on my cover and lights,etc....I bought a LoMax Tri Fold (its the same as the WeatherTech cover,LoMax makes for them)...Saved over $200 from the WeatherTech....Pretty sure they can also get the BakFlip....I'm sold on the LoMax...took appx. 30 minutes to install, looks beautiful with the low profile, and seals really great...I read lots of reviews on covers and seems they all had problems with leaks...which IMHO has alot to do with the installer...if its not even and level, seal wont seal..pretty simple...they they blame the cover maker...mine is 98% watertight....just a very small amount near back by tailgate, only when using a hose to wash under pressure..have not had a drop from rain...

Interesting. Have you experienced any of the issues noted in this review?

I like the look, little worried about the binding although not sure if that is due to the wrap. is it as flimsy as it looks on the video?

His video was spot on,BUT...looks like most of his problem came from his vinyl wrap job...
I researched these till I was seeing double, and for what I needed....Its great....and the low profile look and the way you can just pop it right off really easy also swayed me....I didnt like that you folded the Bak-Lite against back window....I personally didnt want to ride around with a cover strapped to back of my cab if I needed the room...this one comes off in 15 seconds...its rather heavy, but one guy can do with no problem...
As far as "flimsy" all the 3 section covers are flimsy if you flex them...whole idea is to keep everything straight and in line when taking off or folding it back so you dont damage the seals...Again,his problem with the cover damaging the wrap when folded back,is only in his situation.....
The LoMax comes from factory with some type of vinyl or carbon fiber squares on lid, matching color of cover where the rubber nubs that are damaging his white wrap would rest,so you dont have to worry about leaving scratches on the cover where the 2 or 4 nubs fold back onto it...At first I didnt like these 4 black squares on the black cover, but they blend in good and no big deal now...He was also correct in saying, yeah, you can lay on it,holds 400lbs...yadda-yadda-yadda....IF you need a cover you can stand on,sleep on,strap heavy shit on....buy the DiamondBack....At first liked the look, but then really didnt like the way it stuck up over the bed rails so much, didnt need to haul stuff on top of my cover, and last, its 3x the price.....
SO,bottom line, buy according to how you will use it.....IMHO,if you want a killer low profile look, and a really good seal (NONE are 100% watertight, except maybe the DiamondBack)....LoMax is the way to go....or if you need that WeatherTech badge on it,pay a couple hundred more..LOL... There was a blog on here about the WeatherTech being a rebranded LoMax,and stories about it on the web....
PM me and I'll LYK now much I got mine for....only have had it a couple months, but doubt $$ went up...Guess I'll see in a year or 2 if it was still a good decision...I dont need to open and close it all day long, more for looks....so being as well made as it is,dont see why it wont hold up.

I use backflip revolver x4 and live in Florida and have went through some downpours so far. No water in bed. It is a little different design. I had a bakflip previously on my last f150 and it came with drains. I would have water in them when it rained. Then it eventually molded or whatever in drain lines.

Thank you sir for your order. Your tough negotiating skills got our supplier to provide us flat rate shipping as long as I made a group order commitment until May 13th when the rebate ends. So the same deal I provided, is good for other FRF members as well.

Got the mishap at BAK on the rebate form corrected too.

If anyone would like a new MX4, please feel free to message me. I have plenty in stock, ready for fast shipping the same day or next when it will go out. We ship ground but have them in multiple warehouses throughout CONUS so you should get it fairly soon. @ddpt got his the next business day.

I haven't had a chance to install yet but do plan on submitting the rebate form (corrected rebate form) soon.
