Ah, there it is... an explanation of how anti-lag works in the Raptor, courtesy of C&D (http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2017-ford-f-150-raptor-first-drive-review):

Baja mode also tweaks the engine-management program, shutting down fuel flow but keeping the throttle open when the driver jumps off the accelerator. This keeps air flowing through the engine, which in turn keeps the turbos spinning and cuts lag when the driver gets back on the gas.

This isn't a 2000hp pro mod, the lag isn't going to be as noticeable as you have been lead to believe.

"Anti-lag" as implemented on the Raptor wouldn't do anything at all to help in that situation. I'm guessing that your truck is stock and you were in the "Regular" drive mode? Throttle response under those conditions is... shall we say... somewhat casual. Sport mode, a tune, and/or a Pedal Commander are the ways to address the situation that you described.

That's not turbo lag. Anti lag of any kind would do nothing to affect what you just described.

Yeah me too! It’s happened twice, mash the throttle from a dead stop looking to turn and nothing but a pissed off driver and and a horn solo spelling out my inability to get out of my own way!

Opposite problem for me. I have to avoid digging too deep into the throttle to keep from spinning the back tires when making spirited left and right 90 deg turns.
