I always wondered the same thing, as to whether off road mode/Baja mode would stiffen the suspension or soften it.

Near me on good ol pavement, freshly laid, brand new road, one small portion of it developed washboard ripples. Really unsettles the truck going over at 50 mph. Then I tried just off road on the suspension setting from steering wheel button. Unreal how it smoothed it out, almost making as if the road was not rippled.
Youd think baja would have to be stiff to keep from bottoming out on dips etc. Sounds like i may want to leave it in baja all the time since it rides better on the street also. (suspension mode only from sterring wheel). Maybe a dumb question, but do you think it would be hard on the shocks to leave in baja 24/7 ? I mean, are the shocks having to work overtime on the damping to keep things smooth? On the other hand one would thing the stiffer setting would put more wear and tear on them since they will always be under more "pressure" with the shocks taking hits with little give to them.

From this weekend, first time in baja mode on a coal road. Gotta say, was pretty fun!

This is me yesterday. Still having withdrawal 30 hours later. p.s. I'm in San Jose area. And Baja vs sport feels softer, as it should - good for compliance over uneven terrain.
Please tell me you've put the truck in baja mode and floored it over the dip on 680 going north through Milpitas. I've gotten full suspension droop but no air yet....
