How do you weld the tube in the cab? Is the tube welded to the roof? Looks like you removed sections of the headliner where the tube crossed it.

I've never heard of anyone cutting the roof off a Lightning to install a cage. I think a cage like what was in the Raptor R is a bit overkill for most Raptor owners a basic 6 or 8 point cage should be more then enough. All I have planed for the interior for right now is a set of Corbeaus and a harness bar.

Turn the welder down and hope not to burn through the sheetmetal

I know of 2 people that cut the roof off a lightning, but these are bad ass prerunner's/race trucks. I know 1 other person right now building a Lighting, I'm pretty sure he's cutting the roof off.
Are you planning on running 5 point harness's on that harness bar and race seats?
What do you consider a 6 or 8 point cage? Is that in the cab or bumper to bumper?

I talked to a fabrication shop in El Segundo, CA about this. He says you can cut holes in the bottom of the cab to drop the cage down to finish up the welds. Then you raise it back up and finish it off. Obviously I haven't done it or seen it done, but he had a trophy truck tube frame bare in the shop, so I trusted his comments.

There's a number of ways to do it and that's one of them. Was it Link Motorsports in El Segundo that you talked to?

Here's Andy's Lighting, 408w that should put out around 525+ HP on pump gas
