So you used a Butt Connector to connect 3 wires? Based on your text and your video it seems like that's what you did.

...or if you can pop the reverse wire out of the trailer plug, you can then strip off some insulation, manually splice in the new wire, slip on adhesive heat shrink and retape. Would be slick if the hot reverse wire can be removed.

killing the reverse chime while in Reverse

Does anyone know *********** the annoying reverse chime that comes on while in reverse? I want to have extra light while loading my dirtbike at night with the engine off and the chime makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Thanks!

Need some assistanc please!

So I hook up the S2 reverse lights and they work like a charm, but when they are plugged in my driver side brake light does not work. When I unplug them the brake light starts working again... I spliced into the grey/brown wire on the drivers side tail light harness with the harness BD provided. Figured since the reverse lights work this was the right wire, but its wierd that the brake light stops working. For those who have done this install with the driver taillight can you let me know what wire you used?

Do it like Halo Grinder recommends. I did and it works perfectly.

I used a 4mm long ball allen to tighten the one next to the exhaust tip. Home brewer's probably wont have this, and you'll either have to **** it to get an allen on it, then tighten the T40 or something

If someone does not have a 4mm long ball allen, here are two other ways to tighten the screws on the side of the light.

1. Take a 4mm allen and cut it down. I cut it down with a dremel. You can then move the exhaust tip enough to tighten it up. See Pic 1 and 2.

2. Take the (2) 10mm nuts off the exhaust tip hanger and it will drop enough to get to the screws. See Pic 3.

I did one each way and the cut down 4mm allen was easier and less time consuming for me.

I also decided not to tap into the little taillight harness. Instead, I used a plug-and-play T-connector for the 7-pin plug and tapped into that wiring so I wasn't actually spicing into the factory wiring. It just makes for a clean removal back to factory if I ever wanted to.

Not if you follow all the other directions in the PUTCO instructions (e.g. cutting the red wire in their harness and adding the jumper under the dash for power).

I've had mine this way since the spring with no issues at all.
