Not even with the S8 mounted up high?

I was hoping I could get that combo to work as I also want to mount a winch with the stock bumper.

Well, I haven't attempted it, but I can tell you that the BD grille mounts included with the S8 put the bottom edge right at the top edge of the Ford letters. The FMICs I have seen seem to extend well above that point. There appears to be room to mount it maybe 3/4" higher before you hit something, but you would need custom brackets.

Thanks for the quick response.

Anyone ever mount the XL80s behind the grill?
behind? wont fit if you have an intercooler for a frame chop bumper.

that being said, one of my lighting iterations has XLs frenched into the grille. while it looked cool, I had a hard time keeping the grille shell in one piece and they generated enough heat to raise my IATs and coolant temps. I've since pushed them out to in front of the main hoop of the bumper.

Zombie, how many total lumens would you guesstimate you have? That is a lot of lights!! Awesome setup!

I'm north of 3 million candlepower if I add up all the lights.

I can't put the roof bar on if there is anything reflective anywhere near me. The light is so bright that a simple street sign reflects enough to make me blind.

My lighting setup is good for up to probably 120 mph or so. I personally don't need to go any faster than that in a raptor at night, so I'm pretty satisfied. I've put these lights through hell and back, including running into lots of cacti and scrub brush. I sheared my first bolt on the last trip and have never had even a hiccup with anything baja designs.

If i had the need to go faster than that at night, i'd probably run the laser lights and some lp6s or lp9s to supplement.

Thank you for that! What do you have mounted behind the bumper in the last picture?

do you mean behind the grille? It is a pair of s2s and a pair of squadrons. that's what I use as dust lights for the front.

they are on custom brackets in the corners of the grille shell where they don't block any airflow to the IC, RAD, condenser and trans cooler.
