To connect to the upfitter harness in the Raptor, all you need is a power and ground going to the light. At this point, you would be using the harness for material. You won't be using the inline fuse, switch, or ring terminals for a battery. You would disconnect the harness at the switch, and hook up the red power lead to the switch you choose (refer to owners manual on color code of wires). The black lead just needs to be grounded somewhere on the chassis. The XL80s have a built in dimming feature that's done by grounding out the third, green wire. The upfitter switches use a switched power and not a switched ground. Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to use these switches to perform this job.

thx. That’s what I thought but someone in another post said the fuse was necessary. Better safe than sorry. Can’t wait to hook em up.

The Raptor should have its own fuses under the fuse box for the auxiliary switches. It wouldn't hurt to keep the inline fuse, but it's just repetitive/unnecessary. :)

Shout out to 4x4TruckLEDS.com for the killer deal on a pair of XL80s and SDHQ a-pillar mounts! Great addition to the set up! The free T-shirt and sweet treats in the box were a nice touch!

Love your truck! What brand/model are the lower lights? Very clean looking.

Thanks man! This was before the XL80’s went up on the A-Pillars. The light bar in my bumper is an ONX6+ by BD. Fits perfectly and is insanely bright!

Yup. Still stock suspension for now. Waiting until the shocks are due for a rebuild before I get crazy with it.

Nice. Any trouble with rubbing? What tires are you running?

Those are Cooper ST MAXX on Venomrex 17” rims. I run the truck hard and have jumped with this setup without rubbing.

Good to know as that's a similar set up to what I want to run and many have said you need to upgrade the suspension to run 35's. Saves me $$$. Thanks
