Precisely. Like the ridges on the driving combo lights maybe that push the light towards the ground. And reduce the up. A 2nd plus for the raptor application would be with a slight tint you wouldn’t even see it in the lower grille where the kit installs it. I was thinking about buying the clear one and having it tinted slightly for that very reason. Stealth until turned on would be cool. Send me a prototype to evaluate and assist with R&D.

It is an interesting idea! Thanks for posting up :)

Has anyone had an issue, regarding the fog pocket kit where you remove the bolt for the support bar to out the bracket in place then swing the bar back, that the stock bolt isnt long enough to catch the threads??? I tried getting that bolt in forever last night. Still no luck

Are you referring to the factory 8mm bolt?
Everything should bolt up fine with the included hardware as well as the factory bolt. Do you have photos of how your brackets are mounted? It's possible something is slightly off.

Happy to help figure this out. Feel free to call 800-422-5292 if you'd like to speak with BD tech support

Yes, it is long enough for sure. The issue is likely that you're not getting the nut aligned with the bolt shank. You may need to put your hand/fingers on the nut side to hold it in place to start the bolt. It may help to loosen the other end bolt so the brace will allow you to maneuver everything into place. I had a little trouble on the passenger side until I made sure it was all aligned...

Yes, this one. I have tiried all kinds of tricks. It is 100% lined up properly... I eben tried haveing the supplied allen bolts/nuts in place and tight to make certain that the BD bracket was firmly in place. I also removed the clip from the truck to make sure it was straight. amd all seemed normal. I will try harder. I didnt complete the install yet as a result, and to flip the silver light brackets to push the lights closer to the bumper, with the brackets in the orientation pictured above, mine were much more recessed into the fog pocket than this

A longer bolt might be required for your setup. We are closed for the weekend, but feel free to email [email protected] or call 800-422-5292 on Monday. We should have a bolt that'll work for you!
