I installed my Baja Designs fog pocket kit. The SAE fog light sits right on the bumper when aligned. Anyone else come across this issue? If so, how did you remedy it? I don’t want the bumper and light to wear there, and I may end up wanting to put amber covers on the fog lights, but won’t be able to. I have included pictures below.

While I haven't seen this issue before, we recommend installing a thin piece of EPDM to resolve any issue with rubbing.

Best,

What kit did you go with? With our brackets you can actually put the lights back a bit so nothing touches the bumper:

I believe it was the bracket that comes with the Baja Designs kit

Ohh, gotcha. Yeah that one doesn't allow you to make many adjustments at all.

Did you buy that kit used? Based on the photo of your light, it's also not installed right. The Squadron SAE are upside down in your photo and there IS a right way and wrong way to mount them. The Baja Designs Fog Kits should have the SAE lights ALREADY flipped around for you so that when you hang them upside down... they end up in the correct orientation. YOURS are not correct.

Something tells me if you bought that from a marketplace or from a vendor it's not a real SAE fog kit and the kit was just put together, since the lights are incorrect.

See how with our kit the SAE lights are right-side up. The lenses actually matter and Baja doesn't want customers flipping the lenses either, as it voids the warranty. The kits we sell/put together already have the lenses flipped at the factory. We order them from Baja flipped. AND the Fog Kits that baja sells as their complete KIT already include lights where the lenses/bezels are flipped for you as well.

SO something's not adding up with the kit you got.

Got a photo of the BUILD SHEET inside the box that has the initials of the person who built it. The kit was not built correctly. Your lights are upside down and you'll need to reach out to the vendor you got it from and/or Baja to get the kit corrected. They are going to ask for that information on the BUILD SHEET so they can educate the person building it that it's being built wrong. Your SAE lights are upside down and you were shipped the wrong ones.

Raptors (and Broncos) require that the lights in the kit have their optics/bezels flipped at the Baja Designs factory prior to shipping.

I will have to see if I can find it. Hopefully I did not throw it away. Thank you for the info!
