Well it's certainly in the exhaust

And its only when I'm at WOT

The simplest way I had it explained to me is fuel making it down into the pipes because of too little backpressure which I guess equals backfire??

Being so I'm guessing the flowmasters aren't enough for this big engine and I'll have to swap them out for something else

Sob **********

Watch my fly bye vids u will hear it

Lemme know what u all think please

well, there's a hell of a lot of combustion going on inside the engine, where it's supposed to be....and a muffler is meant to "muffle" those sounds. if you're running no muffler or a race muffler, you're no longer muffling those sounds and you will hear them. based on the fact that the stock muffler isn't a source of restriction or back pressure i would challenge you to explain why you think a new muffler could cause fuel to enter the exhaust system.

Well my train of thought is that

I went from a stock setup (ypipe and single pipe to a monstrous muffler)

Now I'm running independently from each cat back a 3 inch pipe

There's a huge loss in back pressure right there

Then I've got two puny single chambered muffs allllll the way at the end of this piping

I do not want to challenge ur input

Simply hear what you have to say brotha

feel free to challenge my input, i'm only repeating what i have learned from the forums. i'm just trying to see the connection in your thinking until someone who knows what they're talking about comes along :D

From all the research I've gotten to today I've come to the conclusion that some vehicles (Ferrari f40, certain mustangs) can run healthy with this sound and in others it is a bad sign

So that leads me to wonder is the raptor one of these vehicles which can safely run with this semi backfiring noise at WOT

Guess the only way to find out is to leave it as is and see what happens

Although I may as well shoot myself in the foot now if I can't figure this out

Is there an X-pipe in or something to equal out the two sides of the exhaust? if not that could be the problem of the different sides of the motor having different back pressures. I would think this is more of your problem than the mufflers them self. Thats why when people make headers there is equal lengths of pipe for each cylinder. I would put an X in if it were me.

Side note my exhaust cut out is on a stock exhaust before the muffler and I don't have any crackle or pop like that. Some times when I get off the gas and the transition from WOT to nothing makes it kinda pop but nothing different that before.

Hope that works for you! I know all the performance guys put them in. I'm about 100% sure that all the back pressure these trucks make come from the Cats after them you don't have much, but with the Factory Y pipe (that it looks like you took out) thats what makes them equalize out.

CHIME CHIME! HAHhaaaaaa. I know most are made from round tubing. many have muffers on the end. If its an ETHNIC Honda its probably got a BIG CHROME chunk of shit on the end of it! AHhahaaaaaa.

There is an FX4 that I see at coffee on sunday morn with my old man. It has big straight true duals all the way to the back. It sounds load as hell and sounds like SHIT! All disconcerted noise, no harmony. Maybe yours is missing the harmony?

I have a Flowmaster 44 stuck in in place of the OEM and it rocks and sound like a Mustang. ROOOOOOOOAaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am happy with my $200 investment. Hope you get yours solved.
