As I’m sure everyone here knows or will find out, if you inadvertently thumb the +/- buttons on the stock shifter, the gear position display goes away on the dash. I know to place my hand in just the right place... yeah... right there... :oops: ON THE TRUCK SHIFTER @Oldfart :p to avoid this Raptor screwup.

Does this shifter make this issue more likely, less like, just the same?
Any chance they have one with a grip safety a la 1911/2011/XD(m) with maybe some semi-aggressive texturing?

Get out the 1/8" bit and do your own stippling.

HI all - i have mine now for approx. 3 months and would not trade it back. Its very ergonomic and gives a great feel and gear operation. Also off road tested.. its an addition to my raptor.

@Stitch1618 your interior looks like the space shuttle in there. What are you using for navigation purposes?

Do you like the shifter in manual mode off road better too?

Tow Button: It comes as a press button and i fitted it where B&W suggested in the small compartment with the USB's Wil have a pic later on.

Navigation: I use a Surface Tablet and a great Tablet holder system from Joy. GPS is an Bad Elf GPS on the top dash centre on a built right bracket. (Also a Compass and an analogue watch there)
software: GPX Viewer and recorder for high accurate position and altitude profiles etc. and also MAP Factor GPS Navigation. The Bad Elf connects though Bluetooth to the tablet. Also very good for Weather radar etc.

@Stitch1618 how did you drill the hole for the button in that tray? My shifter will be here today and I want to install it tonight. Did you use a standard drill and the 15/32" bit? Looks like it may be hard to get to that spot. I appreciate any tips so I can get a bit and whatever else I may need. Thanks!

Ok guys, got this installed last night. The instructions that come with it are good, so I won't do an entire install post, but I wanted to include a few things that were somewhat unclear in them. Excuse my dirty truck...or don't, it's a truck!

Note: you'll need a T20 torx bit to get the cup holder screws out. The screws in the shifter are phillips head. So in all you'll need a T20, a phillips, a drill and a 1/2" (or 15/32 if you have it) drill bit for the button. Also a pair of wire snips to cut off the tail of the zip tie.

First off--finished product! Getting the grey trim piece off the whole area is the worst part, you feel like you're gonna break it. Wiggle a bit at a time, and pull straight up on the clips, then pull as straight back as possible to get the front parts out from under the dash trim.

Shifter boot--pull it down over the B&M just past the bottom. Use the zip tie to secure it, and tuck the collar of the zip tie into the indent of the shifter. I had to really jam it in there as it's a tiny bit larger than the indent. It'll go, or shave a bit off before you put it on.

You have to remove the shift boot from the old shifter collar. It's just glued on there and came off pretty easily. Go slow, don't rip it!

The wires from the tow/DM switch are inserted into the connector that goes back onto the factory white plug. Once you get the switch installed, just plug them into the black connector. Order doesn't matter as it's just a momentary switch. INSTALL THE SWITCH FIRST!

Here's the switch installed. I used a 1/2" drill bit. It calls for a 15/32 bit, but a 1/2 is close enough and worked just fine. With a standard drill you can get it in there to pop the hole through. It's really thin plastic.
