Here's a few must have's for offroading which are perfect gift ideas:
1) impact gun for changing tires,
2) a nice first aid kit, for bleeding knuckles if you dont have the first item.
3) a solar powered radio with built in flashlight and bottle opener. Great for playing romantic music for the wife when you slip into the camper for the night. Mine even has a usb built in for charging your phone.

So, yelling "Here I come, ready or not!" is not romantic enough for your wife?!

haha my most recent mod!

Then you already know how sweet it is!

That's a great idea...I had a nitro one back in the day, I hear the Li ones are really sweet now and a lot less to deal with.

RC went from DC brushed motors, nimh batteries, and AM/FM radios to three phase brushless AC motors, AC motor controllers, lipo batteries, and 2.4 ghz radios.

The difference is astonishing.

Please, just don't get a POS traxxas though! There are better vehicles out there that dont need parts upgrades right out of the box!

Have a 1/5th scale Baja that is completely rebuilt with many, many mods. Only thing stock is original frame.

It's badass.

I always wanted a 1/5 scale so I got a Losi 5ive-T

It was fun, but it was just too much EVERYTHING. Too expensive for parts, too loud, too big, nowhere to store it, too heavy. It was just TOO MUCH! Had fun with it then sold it. Really felt like a real truck the way it handled though!
