Avalanche Grey and Buybacks

I ran across a dealer in TX that had a couple buy backs listed for sale. The one I inquired about showed to fail emissions testing in CA. The dealer told me this happens time to time in CA and ford buys them back and sends them to auction. The Carfax showed an emissions issue but was labeled “lemon.” If you planned to keep the vehicle for a long time it might be worth it. But you will have a hard time selling it.

That makes sense, i have bought a couple and have had good luck, something like emissions is reasonable. The couple i bought had issues with a fuel pump which was replaced and then that piece had an extended warranty. The goal is to keep it for a while but the savings are a little hard not to look at and consider, especially if you can negotiate an extended warranty...then why not?

You usually have to go to the dealers website and search for the Carfax. Some ads have the Carfax listed on autotrader but most I have seen do not. Sneed ford has 2 buybacks.
