Hello ladies and gentemen. My name is Bill and I am an Apache pilot stationed in Germany just home from my year in Afghanistan and I made the plunge and ordered a new Raptor from Ford. SCAB in silver with almost all the options. I didn't get the bed extender or tailgate step. They are telling me it will be four months so I have a lot of reading and catching up to do.

I am looking forward to and dreading having a Raptor in Germany...

Anyway, thank you for having such an awesome forum and I look forward to getting to know you all soon! How bad can you be? You're Raptor owners afterall.

Ditto - thank you for your service and good luck with the 'Yank tank' in Germany. I lived in Japan for 18 years (two tours in the USAF) and know how narrow the roads can be when navigating with an American made full size POV.

Nice to meet you, Bill. As stated, most importantly, thank you for your service. I was in your position a few months ago when I ordered, now it should be here anyday. There is lots of great info here and lots to look at and read while you wait. Congrats!

Thanks for the kind words. Thanks for your service as well! Glad there are more military guys here. How did you get that cool "FRF Military" banner under your name? (I can fly a helicopter, but I'd rather shoo these damn computers.)

Thanks Brian, the pleasure is mine! How do you deal with the wait? I'm making lists of things I want to do with a truck that I don't have yet...

To be honest, not very well lol. It has been a long, hard wait for me. I try to not think about it much, but it is impossible. I have been so excited since the day I ordered and still am anxiously waiting. I have been doing lots of research on this forum, learning from others mistakes. I did do a lot of wheel and tire research, as well as exhuast. I ordered those parts, which helped a bit, but now they are just sitting in my garage waiting, and seeing them everyday makes it worse! I think the best thing to do is just try to tell yourself that you have done everything you can and all you can do is sit back and wait. It can be frustrating, but at the same time, you're getting a Raptor. It will all be forgotten the day it comes in!
