The chrome canister is a radiator reservoir. The stock one had to go, and the one that comes with the UMP filter gets brittle and breaks where the hose is clamped.
I was cutting down a tight twisty road one night after we got the new rear gears and smelt antifreeze. I was on the 106 Toyah desert. I was way worried. I think we used an Aquafina bottle, and a NPT hose barb through the cap for a makeshift reservoir to get us home.
The coolers are for power steering, "fan cooler" and the other is for the tranny.
The tranny cooler is an after cooler from the stock coolers. Available @ RPG.
Very strong cooler.
My trans temp hasn't got above 223°. Without it, it has gotten to 300°.
The power steering in our trucks is very crappy. You gotta run a magnet on your reservoir to trap metal particles your pump is constantly grinding out. All pumps do this. I'll be changing power steering fluid prolly every 5000 miles.
It's all built in my shop, that's why there are zip ties and hose clamps everywhere.
