Why doesn't every single person who's driving a vehicle wave at everyone? I personally hate ******* waving just because someone drives the same vehicle as I. I rode motorcycles for awhile and never got the 'wave' thing....like we're all some sort of cool brotherhood....screw that!

If someone strikes up a conversation with me at a stoplight or in a parking lot, I'm more than happy to be social....otherwise let me listen to my tunes and keep my eyes on the road. Waving cuz you have the same thing is for the socially challenged!!

Wow, that's a pretty harsh take on it.....

At least the field is smaller than most. I think approximately 15k Raptors were sold per year after it's first year? My info could be bogus. Lower than most other vehicles I bet though.

Assuming in 2013 14,000 Raptors were built, since 2010 there have been roughly 49,356 Raptors built.

From 2010 to 2013 2,521,984 F-150's have been built. That means 1.9% of the F150's on the road since 2010 are Raptors.

I don't even bother to count the F150's I see on a daily basis. But I know of about 10 Raptors here in the Pismo Beach/Santa Maria area that I see on a regular basis. Only one has waived.

So I guess the ********* to Raptor ratio is 10%...

Ain't that the truth. Not like it use to be. Kirk and I joked about it not to long ago. It seems like the more mods the truck has, the less the other Raptor owner will acknowledge you.

Yeah. I'll never forget that time you were driving your Raptor, while towing Chris Ross's Raptor, and me right behind you in my Raptor. So 3 Raptors from done out to the King of the Raptors truck on a trailer. That dude was coming up beside us and as I turn my head ready to wave, he passes as if we didn't even exist.

Ok dude. You know and I know that every Raptor owner is all about the Raptor. We are laughing at you by not being sociable. We will never look down for less mods. If anything we like to fill you in on any mistakes we made and head you in the right direction. We all started stock and been through sweat and suffering and killing bank accounts to get to this point. Get over it and enjoy the community the way we started in on it.

I used to have an Sti and there is no bigger group of ****** bags than the WRX/Sti group. I had a very mild looking Sti (no wing and stock mufflers) in hopes I wouldn't be lumped in with the group. My car was upgraded turbo pro tuned with around 350whp and kids (some adults) with aftermarket mufflers on their stock WRX would race me in a school zone given I'd entertain the idea. Fun car but glad I sold it.

For the Raptor, I've only had one ****** encounter. Just heading to work and a guy with dealer plates on a 12 or older (based on the halogen headlights) was mean mugging me like crazy. Flooring it every few seconds to make it downshift right next to me. Thankfully it only lasted a few miles before I had to turn.

Everyone else I see is 50+ and they don't even know what they have. They like the truck because it has cool fenders, cool grille and a tire that resembles what they saw in their childhood lol.

BTW, I live in Reno. City of about 300k I think...

Slow your roll there spunky--I am one of those 50+ owners and I know what I have.
Actually, Reno is weird, I only see Raptors going the other way, and usually I am in my wife's truck or company vehicle, so waving is pointless.
The few times I have managed to wave I usually don't get a response because of the speed differential.
There also seems to be large number of posers here- I have to run with a CA goombahs...so come out, I need to see more NV plates on the trails.

I remember when I was without my truck for a long long time and one day I was cruising a 97 Deville home from work. Lol! This Raptor dude was tailing my ass hard and passed by me and started looking at me as if I was an idiot. Not to sound conceded or any thing but, that dude would've never guess it was Raptor Addict himself. Hell, he probably bought from me. HA!!!!
Other instances when driving that car was when I'd pull into a lot and I say "nice truck!" They say thanks but in the way as if I was some lost cause. I just think it's funny.

I park like a "*********" all the time, just far away from entrances where all the fat people don't park, but im considerate of drivers and don't ride their ass's on the hwy. So if that's being a *********, welcome me to the club I guess, whatever!
