ARB Compressor in Engine Bay?

Why cant I find a engine bay mount for ARB dual compressor for the gen 1 Raptor? Is there really nowhere in the engine bay to mount one?

On my Gen1 I mounted the twin ARB and a 2 1/2 gal tank on the frame under the passenger side running board. Power was run through the Upfitter switches. I couldn’t figure out a good place in the bay, would have preferred to have it there.

The mud and dirt surprisingly wasn’t a big issue. I did wrap the hose connection, directly on the tank, in a zip-lock and some ties to keep it clean. I recall now I did have the shop fashion a metal/aluminum shield to protect the compressor. I’ll look for a picture and post it for you if I find it. We are hitting the trail so it won’t be until later.

I don’t know how but I found one picture.
I will give you this free advice. I wouldn’t do this set up again. It is much more cost effective to just use a Smitty Built, Viair or ARB portable

i found mounting compressors underneath wasnt a good idea. nor in the engine bay. my compressors are now in the bed of my truck along with a second battery. i have air tanks along the frame, which do fine, beat to ****, but still work. rocks definitely kick up and blast anything you put under there

Pick up a Viair 444c, mount it high on the frame right behind your front mud flap (if you don't have them get some), run the remote filter into the engine bay, this should keep the compressor protected pretty well. Then you can mount a 5 gallon hot dog right behind it, in my case I would just bend a sheet of 16ga aluminum up to put a shield below both of these and that should keep you in good shape unless you get into big rocks or something.

Behind the rear seat worked best for me, keeps the compressor protected from deep water and road salt in the winter plus it keep it from getting beat to **** like when mounted underneath or along the frame.

you need to run to the battery for an air compressor. so no matter where you mount it, make sure its ran to the battery with a fuse inline
