Anyone with 265/70/17?

I thought duratracs did have the snowflake.

Maybe one of the guys who has them can clarify but i think i saw someone who had them say they didnt.

Still an awesome tire (and what i plan on getting for my winter tires), just not the same league as a snow/ice focused tired.

^ not a bad approach, since the tires are designed for that. (both the studs, and all around offroad/road duties)

Cant wait to pull the MTR's off and put a set on for winter.

The studded duratracs do sound like a good option. I think a guy I work with might have these on his jeep in the winter. The Nokian tires that someone posted are my winter tires of choice, they just don't sell anything bigger than the 265/70/17. I have gone through two sets of studded hakkapelleta's and they are amazing what they can do.

you also have to keep in mind, you are effectively changing your "final-final'' gear ratio, you would have to have the absolute lightest foot in the world, or you are going to a tremendous amount of wheel spin with that small of a tire. I feel you would have to get into the habit of starting in 2nd or even third gear. I will say i have never driven an automobile with studs, so maybe they grip better? i feel the raptor would have too much power though for that small of a tire

Spoke to my buddy at work and he is rockin the duratracs with studs and he highly recommended them. He also said that he was surprised how little they wore down and he thinks they will last 3-4 seasons
