I'm gonna finally get a bass boat next spring and would like to know if anyone has done this before with a Raptor? Also, which trailer hitch do I get? I've never towed anything before so this will be a new experience. Is there anything I should learn before trying to tow something? How does the trailer sway in our trucks work? Again, I'm new to trucks, towing and all that stuff.

bass boats should be relatively light, right?

I pull my deckboat regularly and it makes the rear end sit relatively low (bed is usually loadeed too as we're camping). But no huge steering/mgmt problems. Boat is about 5k lbs loaded (not including trailer) and the bed usually has a couple hundred pound in it as well.

I'm running non-stock, 11 leaf National Springs in the back (thanks RPG) which may be a tad soft for pulling, but perfect for my other driving.

Here's a pick of drive time, miles gone, MPG and gallons used for my last trip to our nebraska lake:

since you are new to towing, just a bit of advice, make sure you take wide turns....... you dont want that boat of yours taking out a lightpole, or another vehicle........
